The training program you need to
uplevel your contract skills
Building real contract skill takes years. The right training gets you there faster.

One program. Three ways to build expertise.
Who the Contract Mastery Program is for
The Contract Mastery Program serves lawyers and contract professionals at every stage. Whether you are building foundational skill, keeping pace with sophisticated work, or training a team, the Program meets you where you are.
Lawyers and professionals starting out in contracting
You are a few years into your career, transitioning from another practice area, or moving from outside counsel into in-house work. You know how to think like a lawyer. What you need is the practical knowledge of how commercial contracts actually work. The Program gives you the foundation, the playbooks, and the expert reference material to ramp faster than you would on your own.
Experienced lawyers and professionals in the contracting trenches
You have been doing this for years. You know what you do well, and you know where the gaps are. The Program helps you fill those gaps with focused training on specific provisions, sophisticated negotiation strategies, and the curated expertise of lawyers who have negotiated contracts you have not. You stop guessing in unfamiliar territory.
General counsel and leaders wanting to upskill their team
You want your team to handle contract work with consistency and judgment. The Program gives them structured training, certifications they can earn, and a working library they can reference on the job. You measure progress through completion rates, certification earned, and the quality of the work that comes out the other side.

Laura created or curated every piece of content in the Program by teaching what she knows and selecting the experts she trusts most.

Frequently asked questions
Why pay for this when I can ask Claude or the AI tool at my company?
AI tools can explain what an indemnification clause is. They cannot tell you when to push back, what carve-outs matter, or what the other side will accept. They also make things up. Every answer in the Contract Mastery Library comes from a real expert, either Laura Frederick or someone she trusts to share their expertise with this community. Every answer also includes links to the source so you know exactly who said it and can explore the original training.
I have been doing this for 15 years. Will I learn anything?
Almost certainly. Most experienced people have deep knowledge in the areas they work in every day and real gaps in everything else. We regularly hear from lawyers with 20 years of experience that specific courses or training segments changed how they approach provisions they thought they had figured out.
Is there a monthly option?
No. The Program is annual because building real contract skill requires ongoing professional development, not a quick fix. Our pricing reflects that.
Can I earn CLE credits?
Yes. We are an accredited CLE sponsor for our live courses and webinars. You may also be able to earn CLE credits for self-study time spent in our recorded courses and the Library. We provide the documentation needed to apply in your jurisdiction. Note that we can't guarantee eligibility for any particula jurisdiction.
What new features and programs are coming?
We continue to expand the Program throughout the year. In April 2026, we added course workbooks for all 10 of our classes. These capture the key learning points so that our members can focus on the subject instead of taking notes. By June 2026, we expect to launch Learning Paths, structured curriculum designed for specific contracting roles. We are also rolling out short-term training challenges, which deliver one month of daily emails focused on a single contract topic. Both features will be included in the Program at no additional cost.
