Most legal teams have some form of contract playbook. The harder part is getting that guidance out of a document and into the way contracts actually get reviewed and negotiated. A playbook sitting in a shared drive tends to get skipped when the counterparty pushes back on the liability cap or sales needs the deal signed by Friday. Some positions are clear enough to build into a tool and apply automatically. Others need an attorney to weigh the deal, the relationship, and the risk before deciding. Figuring out which is which is a big part of making a playbook useful.
This webinar explores how legal teams can turn playbook guidance into decision rules that hold up in live negotiations. The panel will cover how to write rules that tell attorneys and business teams what's acceptable, what's preferred, and what needs escalation. They'll also cover how to decide which of those rules to automate in contract review tools and which to leave to attorney judgment. They'll close with how to handle exceptions, set approval authority, train sales and procurement to use the guidance within clear limits, and use negotiation history to keep the rules current.
